Presented By Dannika Patterson and Megan Forward
Riverway Map Festival of Stories Program
Where do story ideas come from?
EVERYWHERE! But we especially love to find them outside, in the WILD!
Join Queensland creative duo, author Dannika Patterson and illustrator Megan Forward, for a hands-on outdoor workshop designed to celebrate outdoor learning, encourage curiosity, inspire imagination and cultivate creativity.?
In this 1.5 hour workshop for children, Dannika and Megan will introduce techniques, tools and prompts for catching and capturing 'wild ideas' to use as story starters.
Journey through a series of nature-based sensory observations, mindfulness and journaling activities.?
All participants will be supplied a mini creative journal as part of this workshop, which will be theirs to take home and continue with their own nature journaling practice and collection of 'wild ideas' using the skills and techniques shared in this creative workshop.
This is a 100% waste-free workshop, with all sensory stimuli materials used being either recycled, upcycled or compostable.
Suitable for children aged 8-12.
